Chapter 8 - Poppy - Transitions

Hello. My name is Poppy Delacourt. I will be your guide for the duration of this story. Aiden has been pulled away to deal with certain matters the story has been revealing in real life. I don't know if you realized it or not but this story is a mirror. Not exactly like real life, but pretty darn close. Today Faith made a realization that crushed her spirit. God asked her to step back from her first person perspective to give her emotions a bit of distance on the subject matter.

This story is all about destiny and our connection to God and how God guides us through our days. Sure, there is a fairytale in there to keep things interesting but the money laundering situation at the church is about to come to a head. James is about to step up in ways he never realized he could and Faith is finally going to give in to the messages God has been giving her about Noah and who he really is.

It is going to be a bit of a trial for Faith. She saw the pure potential of a person but reality couldn't stand up to the man he really was on the inside. Detective Cornelius already suspects that something is going on in his energy field. He doesn’t know exactly what it is but being around Faith has given him an inkling and he’s been speaking to God about it. God has informed Merlin and the magician is about to visit the detective and see what they can do to remedy the situation. 

Noah’s real name is Detective Carmichael and he works with their team on the money laundering situation. He and Jax have been under scrutiny and Mike and Danny have been watching them closely for a while now. It kills Mike how Noah had been treating Faith before his disappearance. She stands by his side because that is the type of person she is. She is loyal as a friend and a girlfriend. She doesn't deserve the likes of Noah.

Since Noah’s untimely exit, Faith has been helping James move forward with his ministry. So she spends a lot of time at the church which sometimes makes her feel guilty and like she is shirking her responsibilities with her dad.

Last year during the lockdowns for COVID, Faith’s mom died and since then she has been solely responsible for her dad. He used to be such a vibrant and gregarious man. But since last year he lost that sparkling essence that was acutely him. Sometimes Faith wonders if her dad projects himself into Heaven so he can see her mom and visit with her.

Faith’s dad has many issues. One is that he is on oxygen 24/7. That wasn’t the case when her mom died. Now he is very dependent on it. Another thing she is worried about is how little he eats. It is a struggle for her to make sure he consumes enough food. The man is already very thin and doesn’t have any more weight to lose. And his not eating scares Faith a lot.

Today she is a little more rattled than normal. Today she found the proof Detective Danny had been hinting at. Today she realized Noah wasn’t who she thought he was and it really hurt her heart.

James is about to walk in and find her crumpled on the floor sobbing and his white knight nature is going to kick into high drive. Today their relationship will change. They are already soulmates who learn from each other. Today marks the beginning of the destiny they both share and haven’t quite accepted yet.
